Luvox, famously known as Fluvoxamine, is a medication used to treat a number of anxiety disorders, especially obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

In order to reduce the amount of these neurotransmitters in the brain, Luvox works as a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI). Using this medication brings a balance to the neurotransmitters in the brain.
The medication is mainly used to treat a condition known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. In this illness, individuals perform various tasks such as checking and washing in a compulsive manner. These obsessions are known to interfere with their daily lives. Luvox is also used to treat multiple anxiety disorders as well as mood disorders such as depression. Luvox is usually taken once a day, at night time. You can take this medication with or without food, provided that you take it by mouth. This drug can also be taken twice a day. If you are pregnant, this medication must only be used during absolutely necessary situations. Since this medication can harm an unborn child, do not overuse Luvox during the period of pregnancy.
